Cross Country Cardinals head to States, place third overall

The Bishop Ireton Cross Country team traveled to Newport News on October 27th for the Virginia State Catholic Cross Country meet. The Cardinals took the meet by storm with the girls team finishing in 3rd overall!

Top individual placements came from sophomores Maria Mate and Mollie Mildrew who finished 3rd and 5th place respectively. Freshman, Kathleen Ferguson placed 4th in the Junior Varsity race and junior, Sergio Burneo was the top boys runner, placing in 20th.
