Head of School Circle

Bound by a shared commitment to Bishop Ireton High School, the Head of School Circle is a community of our most engaged alumni, parents, and friends who support the school with a gift of $5,000 or more annually.

Bishop Ireton is deeply grateful for the commitment of our philanthropic leaders.  Your investment in the School allows us to provide the highest quality Catholic education possible and ensures the future of Bishop Ireton for generations to come.

Message from the Head of School

As I begin my fifth year as Head of School at Bishop Ireton, I am so proud of this school community and all that has been accomplished during ever changing times. Bishop Ireton has grown in campus facilities, enhanced its rigorous academic programs through instruction and curriculum, grew our outstanding array of extra-curricular and service opportunities, and developed tremendous programming for Special Services and additional resources to support our students’ learning needs. We not only kept our doors open throughout the pandemic, we also found new ways to reach our students, implement technology and safety enhancements, and ensure the best in academic learning and extracurricular engagement.

We are thriving with the largest enrollment in school history, welcoming 920 students this fall, and we are excited to share the Cardinal spirit with those who visit campus each day. In the classroom, our faculty continues to provide our students with a holistic and rigorous Catholic education. At the same time, our administration and staff are supporting the academic, socio-emotional, spiritual and diverse needs of our students. Our challenging college preparatory curriculum continues to exceed state standards, and we are focused on instilling core values and dedication to service that will make our students the leaders of tomorrow and productive citizens.

Bishop Ireton High School relies on tuition and the generous philanthropic support of the community to balance the annual operating budget, fund capital and special projects, and bolster tuition assistance for those with financial need. The Annual Fund is the school’s primary source of money beyond tuition and fees, and it provides a direct avenue to impactful giving. With tuition only covering 80% of the actual cost to educate a Bishop Ireton student, the Annual Fund helps underwrite the difference (approximately $2,225 per student) between tuition revenue and the full cost of providing a superior academic experience. The generosity of our community is more important than ever as we provide support for our growing faculty and staff, and to assist families in need.

This year, I ask that you consider supporting our Annual Fund through the Head of School Circle, which recognizes generous donors at the $5,000 level and above. As a member of the Head of School Circle, you will be recognized through our Advancement publications and will receive invitations to special events during the year. I look forward to providing you with insight and updates from the Head of School Office. Please know that your decision to be a major donor makes a huge difference in the lives of our students as we continue our mission to Advance Always and Live Jesus.

I am most grateful for your participation in our efforts, as I see daily the goodness that comes from each day at Bishop Ireton. Our Cardinals are the ultimate beneficiaries of your generosity and philanthropic leadership, and I know that I speak for them in sharing gratitude for all that you do to help keep Bishop Ireton High School vibrant and thriving.

Advance Always,

Kathleen McNutt, M.Ed (SMA '87, BI P'14, '16, '18, '19, '22)
