Tradition Meets Tomorrow: The BI Stadium Campaign

About the Bishop Ireton Stadium Campaign Project

Bishop Ireton High School is excited to embark on a significant renovation of our outdoor athletic facilities, which represents the next step in our ongoing commitment to improving our campus and enhancing the student experience. This proposed $6.5 million project will provide important upgrades to our athletic spaces while creating a more welcoming and functional environment for students, families, alumni and visitors.

The proposed improvements include the replacement and expansion of our track to six lanes, an upgraded and expanded athletic turf field, extended bleachers, new baseball batting cages and field event spaces. Plans also include new concessions, exterior-facing restrooms, additional storage and a Cardinal spirit store within the enclosed bleacher areas. Brick-paved entrances and gathering plazas, new retaining walls and an improved stormwater drainage system will enhance both the appearance and functionality of the complex.

Our next steps include diocesan permissions to proceed with contractor bidding. The bidding process will finalize construction costs and help us determine the final scope of work, as well as any phasing that might be needed. With an estimated spring 2027 construction start, we would look to share a beautiful new field and track with the community in the fall of 2027. We look forward to sharing the full schedule and additional information as we finalize the project.

Together, these improvements will provide an updated home for Ireton athletics and a gathering place for our broader school community.
