Mission Trips

Camden Service Retreat

Camden Service Retreats are open to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Priority is given to seniors who have not yet had the opportunity to attend a Camden retreat.

Students travel to Camden, NJ to work with a service organization called DeSales Service Works, which helps local neighborhoods in one of the poorest cities in the country. Students who attend a Camden Retreat fulfill their service hour requirements.

Bánica Mission Trip

The Parish of Bánica (Saint Francis of Assisi) belongs to the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana. In 1991, the Diocese of Arlington entered into an agreement with the Bishop of San Juan and adopts the Parish as its own by providing priests, volunteers, and material support. The Parish of Bánica along with the neighboring Parish of Pedro Santana (San José) are in the care of Arlington priests and count over 10,000 people dispersed in over 60 communities.

Students attend a weeklong summer mission trip in Bánica, Dominican Republic. Projects completed on the trip include repairing homes for needy families, building chapels, and working on construction initiatives to improve the basic sanitary needs of the community. Students meet and serve alongside the people of the parish, attending Mass with them and much more!
