Application Checklist

Please use the checklist below to determine the items required to complete your application to Bishop Ireton High School.

Application Due Date:
 January 11, 2019 (rolling admissions should space remain)  
Decision Letters:  February 22, 2019

Applications are considered complete when all of the below items have been received.  

We do not accept students who have repeated or reclassified in high school. It is our policy to not accept local senior transfers, however exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.

The below items (other than the application and fee) can be submitted via the admissions portal, mailed or emailed to the school.

Admissions Checklist

  • Application

    Please click here to apply or click the button above. Once an application is submitted and the application fees are paid, a checklist will display outstanding and submitted items.
  • Transcripts

    Please provide a current copy, plus two previous years.  The records release form can be found here.
  • Application Fee

    A $60 non-refundable application fee due is with the application (paid via the online application).
  • School Recommendation

    Please have a teacher, counselor or principal complete the school recommendation formStudents coming from diocesan schools do not need to submit this form as forms are automatically sent from diocesan schools.
  • Birth Certificate

    Copy of birth certificate is required with the application.
  • High School Placement Test

    High School Placement Test (HSPT) results are required for all 9th grade applicants. Please click here for more information.

    If your student is currently attending 8th grade at a Diocese of Arlington school they will take the HSPT at their school on November 29.  If they are not enrolled at a Diocese of Arlington School they will need to sign up for the HSPT via this form.  

  • Essay

    Students must provide a writing sample (at least two paragraphs) that answers the following question. This may be uploaded to the application portal or emailed to admissions@bishopireton.org:

    Bishop Ireton is a supportive school community in which students grow in knowledge and faith while having the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.  Our motto is “Advance Always.”  If you attend Bishop Ireton, what will you contribute to our community and how will you advance always?
  • Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)

    Copy of baptismal certificate for all Catholic applicants is required to obtain the Catholic tuition rate.
  • Custody Agreement (if applicable)

    Diocesan policy requires diocesan schools to have a copy of the custody agreement to ensure proper communication and release of student information.
  • IEP/504 (if applicable)

    If your student has a learning plan in place, we will require a copy of the educational testing, IEP or 504 plan with the application. Our Academic Support Coordinator will review all plans to ensure we can meet the needs of the student.
