Bishop Ireton earned an important Washington Catholic Athletic Conference road victory Sunday afternoon, defeating Archbishop Carroll 72–68 in a competitive matchup in Washington, D.C.
The Cardinals showed resilience throughout the game, executing offensively and making key plays late to hold off Carroll’s push down the stretch. The win continued Bishop Ireton’s strong mid-February momentum and added another quality conference victory to its résumé.
Bishop Ireton entered the contest with a 15–9 record, while Carroll came in with a strong 20–10 mark, setting the stage for a physical and competitive league battle. The Cardinals responded with balanced scoring and timely defensive stops, maintaining composure in a close game that remained tight into the final minutes.
Carroll challenged throughout, but Bishop Ireton’s late-game execution and defensive effort proved decisive as the Cardinals secured the four-point road win.
