v. St. John Paul the Great High School

The Varsity Baseball team earned an exciting 11 - 9 victory over Saint John Paul the Great, powered by a relentless offensive attack and strong relief pitching.
At the plate, the Cardinals erupted for 15 hits. Sean Cosgrove ('26) led the way with a huge performance, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs and a triple. Logan Miller ('27) also starred offensively, finishing 2-for-3 with three RBIs including a double and a triple. Thomas Foley ('27), Connor Stehn ('27), and Trevor Pickard ('26) each recorded multiple hits, with Pickard adding a triple. Foley and Jacob Hurley ('26) each contributed a double as the Cardinals continued to pressure the opposition throughout the game.

On the mound, Luke Kennedy ('27) provided key relief, facing 15 batters, allowing just two earned runs, and recording a strikeout to keep the Cardinals in front. JD Loving ('26) closed out the game to earn the save, facing 11 batters and allowing zero earned runs.

The outfield trio of Jack Brooks ('28), Hurley, and Isaac Gillespie ('27) played an exceptionally strong game with numerous putouts. Gillespie made a game-saving acrobatic catch in the 5th inning.
