v. Episcopal High School

The Bishop Ireton Cardinals Varsity Baseball team earned an impressive 12–7 victory over Episcopal, powered by a strong offensive showing as well as effective pitching.
Offensively, Thomas Foley (‘27) led the charge with a standout performance, driving in five runs on three hits, including two doubles. Jack Brooks (‘28) also made a major impact, recording two hits - a double and a triple - and two RBIs. In total, six Cardinals recorded at least one hit, and the team demonstrated excellent plate discipline by drawing 11 walks.

On the mound, Cash Griffey (‘28) delivered a strong start, pitching five innings, facing 22 batters, striking out five, and allowing zero earned runs. In relief, Luke Kennedy (‘27) and Henry LeMaster (‘26) closed out the game, with LeMaster adding four strikeouts to help secure the win.

Defensively, Jacob Hurley (‘26) made two outstanding over-the-shoulder catches in center field, showcasing excellent range and helping preserve key outs for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals combined timely hitting, patience at the plate, and solid pitching in a complete team performance.
