v. Bishop O'Connell

The Bishop Ireton JV Cardinals fell to DeMatha 7–2 but showed solid contributions both on the mound and at the plate.
On the mound, Joseph Subasavage ('28) got the start and delivered a strong performance, pitching four innings with four strikeouts. Ben Funk ('29) provided effective relief, adding two innings with four strikeouts, combining with Subasavage for an impressive eight strikeouts on the day.

Offensively, the Cardinals were led by Jack Brooks ('28), who recorded two hits, including a double. Ben Funk ('29) contributed two hits, a run, and an RBI, while Nicolas Bradshaw ('29) added a run. Samuel Dyck ('28) and Subasavage each collected a hit.

The Cardinals also showed patience at the plate, with Robert Mate ('28) and Hank Gustafson ('28) each earning a walk, while Gustafson added an RBI.

Despite the result, the Cardinals demonstrated strong pitching and balanced offensive contributions as they continue to develop throughout the season.
