v. Potomac School

Bishop Ireton Cardinals Varsity Baseball fell to The Potomac School 7–3 on Friday at Catholic University, but several Cardinals delivered strong individual performances.
On the mound, Cash Griffy ('28) started for Bishop Ireton, pitching two innings and striking out three. JD Loving ('28) provided solid relief, throwing three innings while allowing just two hits and striking out two. Jacob Hurley ('26) closed out the game with a strong effort on the mound, pitching the final two innings while allowing just three hits and striking out two to keep the Cardinals competitive late.

At the plate, Thomas Foley ('27), Sean Cosgrove ('26), Alexander Glick ('27), and Hurley each recorded a hit for the Cardinals. Connor Stehn ('27), Cosgrove, and Hurley each drove in a run. The Cardinals were aggressive on the basepaths, with Foley and Andrew Antonio ('26) each stealing multiple bases as the team totaled four stolen bases in the game.

The Cardinals continue to gain valuable experience early in the season and are working hard as they prepare for the season ahead.
