v. Bishop O'Connell High School

The Cards faced off against Bishop O’Connell Tuesday night at Mt. Vernon. The girls came out strong, playing fantastic in their defensive zone. At the end of the first period, O’Connell held a 1-0 lead.
The second period saw many opportunities from both teams, as Ailish Brink and Addy Soto found the back of the net for BI. Unfortunately, O’Connell had the better of the chances and held a lead of 7-2 at the end of the period.

The girls held strong and made a third period push, as Brink tallied her second goal of the night, but it was not enough to fend off the opposition. The Cards fell 8-3 at the end of regulation. Andie Francis was spectacular in net, turning away 39 shots through 3 periods.
