v. Our Lady of Good Counsel High School

The Bishop Ireton Cardinals fell 6–1 to Our Lady of Good Counsel in a difficult outing that highlighted both the challenges and the growth still needed for the squad.
Good Counsel imposed themselves early, scoring four goals in the first half. Despite moments of improved defensive focus after halftime, two more goals were conceded before the Cardinals earned a late response. The team’s lone goal came from the penalty spot — won by sophomore Tate Leckey, recently promoted from JV just a handful of games ago, and converted confidently by junior Gavin Mohr.
