v. Bishop O'Connell High School

Bishop Ireton Boys Soccer JV battled hard but fell 3–2 in another competitive clash.
Down 1–0 at halftime and 2–0 early in the second half, the Cardinals showed grit and determination to mount a comeback.

The first goal came through an O’Connell error on a set piece, with pressure forcing an own goal. Later, a free kick created havoc in the box, and junior P.J. Scolese pounced to tap in Ireton’s second.

In addition to Scolese’s crucial goal, several players stood out. Junior Ian Jansen continued his consistent form this season, proving once again to be a reliable performer for JV. Sophomore Jackson Dillahunt impressed in central midfield, combining vocal leadership with driving runs and defensive presence, while also providing an offensive spark throughout the game.

Despite their fightback, Ireton couldn’t find the equalizer in the closing minutes.
