The JV Cardinals put on a commanding display against Benedictine College Prep, securing a 5–1 victory behind an inspired offensive performance.
Freshman Daniel Debrow stole the show with a sensational hat-trick, including a thunderous strike to seal his third goal. His finishing touch now makes him the leading goal scorer for the JV squad. Sophomore and captain Deven Sinha added to the highlight reel with a rocket from distance — a true screamer that energized the entire team. The scoring opened with a brilliantly worked move finished off by freshman Sebastian Aguila, setting the tone for what would be a dominant day in attack.
Standout performers included:
Daniel Debrow – unstoppable in front of goal, clinical and dangerous throughout.
Deven Sinha – a midfield engine who combined leadership with flair, capped by his spectacular long-range goal.
Jackson Guernsey – controlled the game from central midfield with poise and vision, driving the tempo as a captain should.
Jackson Dillahunt – relentless in attack and midfield, carrying the ball with power and creativity, and assisting one of Debrow’s goals.
Jack Alfaro – another freshman revelation, showing composure beyond his age with fearless 1v1 ability and safe ball retention.
Ian Jahnsen and Felipe Garcia – the junior center back pairing held the line solidly, commanding the backline with maturity.
Sean Hendricks – the team’s main captain marshaled the defense from goal, conceding only once on what appeared to be a missed foul in the buildup.
Overall, it was an impressive display of attacking creativity and defensive discipline from Bishop Ireton’s Boys Soccer JV team. While there is always room to improve, the squad’s performance today showcased depth, leadership, and an exciting future for the program.
