Home Game Win!
The Bishop Ireton Cardinals won their first home game of the season on Fannon Field, defeating a confident Ron Brown team that came in on a two-game win streak and believing they should be undefeated after losing their opener on an end-of-game kick return for a touchdown.
Sophomore Running Back Marcus Brandon led the way with 25 carries for 193 yards and two rushing touchdowns, while fellow Sophomore Running Back Matt Womack added 2 receptions for 48 yards and a receiving touchdown thrown by Junior Quarterback Jack Brookes. Defensively, the Cardinals shut Ron Brown down for the majority of the game, with Senior Defensive Back Chase Poray recording his first interception of the season.
