v. Bishop O'Connell
Bishop Ireton hosted Bishop O'Connell, beating the Knights 10-3 with bats a gloves on fire- a first in 10+ years!
Ciara Funk pitched 7 innings giving just 3 while striking out 3 in getting the win.
Annie Simon was 3-4 with 2 RBI and 4 runs scored. Caroline Dick was 3-4 with 3 RBI while playing a mean 3B! Abby Roche went 3-4 with 1 RBI, 2 runs scored and 2 triples! She also caught a tough hit ball over her head at 2B for a big 3rd out.
Lucy Roche caught 2 super tough fly balls and then decided to catch another tough one and fired a laser to 1B to double up the runner. Great stretch by Rachel Klaric at 1B.
Great win for the BI Softball family! The Cardinals are 10-6 on the year.
