The Bishop Ireton JV Cardinals delivered a dominant performance, defeating St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes 19 - 0 in a complete team effort.
On the mound, Joseph Subasavage (‘28) was exceptional, throwing a complete game no-hitter while allowing zero runs and zero walks while striking out nine in a commanding performance.
Offensively, the Cardinals were relentless at the plate. Brooks Gustafson ('28) led the way with three hits, including a double, while Ben Funk ('29) added two hits, including a double. Subasavage contributed a triple, and Patrick Beretsel ('28) also had two hits, including a triple. Ben Pearce ('29) and Samuel Dyke ('28) each recorded two hits as part of a balanced offensive attack.
In total, nine Cardinals recorded at least one hit, and the team showed strong plate discipline by drawing 10 walks.
