Lansdowne Resort’s Norman Course hosted a challenging match against a very strong PVI team.
Connor Seibel ’26 / Maeve McGuire ’27 led off against PVI’s #1 (a recent JMU golf signee) and their #2.
With water lining the left side, Connor hit a perfect high draw down the middle to set the tone. He went on
to win his match 2&1, earning the first point of the match. Maeve ran into a strong putter and took the loss
but finished with a birdie on the final hole—a small victory. PVI 2 – BI 1
Jacob Tampio ’26 / Nate Gorski ’27 were next against PVI’s #3 and #4 players. A veteran of the team,
Jacob went on to make two birdies, but it wasn’t enough to slow down PVI. This was Nate’s first match of
the season, and he showed no nerves on the opening tee. The match went back and forth, but PVI
ultimately won all three points. PVI 5 – BI 1
Colin McHugh ’26 / Jacob Kramer ’27 made up the final group and represented BI’s last opportunity to
secure points. In his first match of the season, Colin started with a few missed shots but settled in and
made it competitive. Jacob K. fully embraced his role as the team’s anchor. His match went back and forth and came down to the ninth hole—a par 3 over water and a true finishing test—which resulted in a tie, earning BI 0.5 points.
