v. Georgetown Prep

The Bishop Ireton JV Cardinals battled in a high-scoring contest against Georgetown Prep but fell 10-9 in extra innings after Georgetown Prep delivered a walk-off in the 8th inning.
The Cardinals offense was led by Colman Forrer ('29), who collected three hits in four at-bats and drove in two RBIs. Jack Brooks ('28) also had a standout day at the plate with three hits - all doubles - and four RBIs. Joseph Subasavage ('28) and Henry Gustafson ('28) each added a hit to contribute to the Cardinals’ nine-run effort.

On the mound, Benjamin Funk ('29) started for Bishop Ireton and pitched 3.1 innings, recording three strikeouts. Nicolas Bradshaw ('29) provided solid relief with 2.1 innings and three strikeouts, and Casen Reber ('29) closed out the game, pitching 1.2 innings with one strikeout.

Despite the tough walk-off loss, the Cardinals showed strong offensive production and resilience throughout the game. The JV Cardinals will look to bounce back in their next matchup Friday at 4 p.m. on the road at Landon.
