v. Flint Hill

After a quick turnaround from Friday night’s game, the Bishop Ireton Cardinals were back on the field Saturday afternoon, taking on Flint Hill at Patriot Park. The Cardinals battled throughout the game and pushed the contest into extra innings before narrowly falling 7 - 6, showing resilience and determination until the final out.
On the mound, Alexander Glick ('27) got the start for the Cardinals, pitching 3.1 innings while allowing just three hits and striking out four. Connor Stehn ('27) provided strong relief, throwing 1.2 innings with three strikeouts, while Luke Kennedy ('27) closed out the game with a gritty 2.1-inning effort, striking out two and allowing only two hits.

Offensively, Thomas Foley ('27) led the Cardinals with three hits, while Logan Miller ('27) added two hits, including a double. Andrew Antonio ('26), Stehn, Chase Poray ('27), and Trevor Pickard ('26) each contributed a hit. Stehn delivered a triple and finished with two RBIs, while Sean Cosgrove ('26) also drove in two runs and Poray added another RBI.

Despite the tough loss, the Cardinals showed strong effort and competitiveness in taking the game to extra innings on short rest. Bishop Ireton will look to carry that momentum into their next matchup Tuesday against Riverdale Baptist.
