v. St. John Paul the Great High School

The Bishop Ireton Cardinals delivered a complete performance Wednesday night, rolling past St. John Paul the Great Catholic 75–49 in a road matchup.
Ireton set the tone early and steadily built its lead throughout the contest, using a balanced offensive attack and active defense to stay in control from start to finish. A decisive stretch spanning the end of the first quarter into the second proved to be the turning point, as the Cardinals created separation and never looked back. By halftime they had taken command, and a strong third quarter effectively sealed the result.

Bishop Ireton’s depth was a difference maker, with multiple players contributing offensively while their defensive pressure forced tough shots and disrupted the Wolves’ rhythm. The convincing win not only highlighted the Cardinals’ defensive intensity and scoring balance but also gave them a strong road result to build momentum heading into their upcoming games. It was a good road win as the Cardinals face a very tough schedule coming up with 4 games in the next 6 days with 3 of them being critical WCAC conference games.
