EHS Winter Classic

The boys and girls indoor track and field team competed in a 15-team invitational at Episcopal High School.
Crossing the finish line first in the 4 x 400 meter relay just ahead of three other teams in a final furious sprint was junior Will Taft. Taft leaned forward just inches ahead of the anchors for Gonzaga, Episcopal and St. Stephens and St. Agnes. Taft, along with his fellow runners Eden Chandler, Niko Salamanca and Joseph Carter finished less than one second off of the school record.

Senior Abigail Crum has qualified for the state meet on February 12th with her 1st place finish in the 300 meter dash in a time of 44.33. Sophomore Joseph Carter placed 2nd in the 500 meter run. Other state qualifiers for the Cardinals include Reagan Kaleta in the 1600 and Siena Santoro in the 55 meter hurdles.
