Bishop O'Connell and St. Mary's Ryken Tri-Meet

Bishop Ireton Swim & Dive faced off against Bishop O’Connell and St. Mary’s Ryken in a competitive tri-meet on December 5. Both the boys and girls teams defeated St. Mary’s Ryken, while coming up just short against Bishop O’Connell (our girls team finished only 9 points behind the Knights!).

Despite missing some of our usual top swimmers due to club meet commitments, it was exciting to see new faces step up and contribute key points.

For the girls team, standout performances came from Leah Eubanks ’29 and Sophie Bliss ’27, who both finished 1st in all of their individual events. Maggie Luff ’26, Claire Schlereth ’27, and Allie Duffield ’26 also earned crucial points for the Cardinals.

On the boys side, Jack Lentini ’27 led the team with first-place finishes in both of his individual events, with additional key contributions from Reid Nagtzaam ’28, Peter Johnson ’26, Charlie Morse ’28, and Andrew Dick ’29.
