v. Gonzaga College High School

Bishop Ireton V1 played a solid game against Gonzaga but came up a little short in a 2-1 loss. BI had a slow start and took a few penalties early that led to two Gonzaga goals in the first period that ultimately, proved to be the difference in the game.
The Cardinals recovered in the second period and dominated the third period, outshooting Gonzaga 36 to 23 for the game. Declan Edwards had 21 saves for Ireton. BI got a goal from Liam Rice '27 on a nice pass from Connor Seibel '26 that made the game close late in the third period. Ireton pulled their goalie but could not get the tying goal despite a valiant effort and a mad scrum in front of the net late in the third period.
