v. Benedictine College Prep

The Cardinals faced a tough challenge against Benedictine, ultimately falling 5–0 in a hard-fought contest.
Despite the scoreline, there were several standout performances that highlighted the resilience and fight within the squad:
  • Junior Gavin Mohr was a constant threat on the left wing, using his creativity and pace to trouble the Benedictine backline. While he didn’t register a goal or assist, his attacking presence and direct play were influential throughout the match.
  • Sophomore Max Schneeberger played an important role in the attack and buildup, showing maturity beyond his years. His work rate on both sides of the ball stood out, as he pressed hard defensively and continued to find ways to push the Cardinals forward in transition.
  • Defensively, sophomore Beckett Christie impressed after being called upon to step in for an injured teammate. Rotating between left back and right back, Christie showed composure and determination, giving the Cardinals stability on the flanks.
  • Off the field, captain Aron demonstrated true leadership. Though limited to the final five minutes of play due to injury, he spent the majority of the match on the bench actively supporting and encouraging his teammates. His commitment and influence as captain set a strong example for the rest of the squad, showing that leadership extends beyond the pitch.
While the result was not what the Cardinals hoped for, the effort, leadership, and flashes of quality provide a strong foundation to build on moving forward
