v. St. John Paul the Great High School

The Bishop Ireton Boys JV Soccer team suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat despite creating 8–10 strong scoring chances. St. John Paul the Great converted one of their few opportunities, while the Cardinals were unable to capitalize.
The performance reflected the growing culture at Bishop Ireton—resiliency, no-quit spirit, and demanding the best of each other.

Standouts:
  • Captain Tate Leckie led in midfield with several shots and constant energy.
  • Ian Jansen impressed at center back with composure and key clearances.
  • Freshman Jack Alfaro and Jackson Guernsey brought creativity and flair in midfield.
  • Jackson Dillahunt drove forward fearlessly, drawing repeated fouls.
  • Sebastian Amaya excelled at center back and nearly scored off the frame.

Though the scoreline didn’t reflect their effort, Bishop Ireton JV showed the same resilience as Varsity, proving the strength of the program’s foundation.
