WCAC Championships

Coming off a 1st place finish at the Catholic State Meet, the Bishop Ireton Girls Cross Country team was seeded 3rd heading into the WCAC Championship held at Kenilworth Park in Washington, DC. Despite missing one of their top runners, the Cardinals ran above their expectations and finished 2nd in the meet, narrowly defeating Good Counsel by one point to bring home the runner-up plaque. St. John's was the overall winner with 36 points, while the Cardinals tallied 59.   

All-Conference performances were secured by Senior Regan Schultz with her 2nd place finish and Sophomore Catherine Messing crossing the line in 3rd place.

The boys also had an impressive showing, finishing 4th in the overall standings. Junior Jason Day earned All-Conference status as well with his 7th place finish.
