Head of the Anacostia

The Head of the Anacostia (a 4,300m race) saw 12 race entries and BI Rowing's first medals of the Fall season!  
BI Rowing showed off its sculling and sweep experience, along with a great tailgate/spectator experience for parents and friends on the banks of the Anacostia.

Results include:
  • Boy’s Quad Sculling:  BI placed First and Second
  • Boy’s Novice Quad Sculling:  BI placed First
  • Girl’s 8+:  BI placed Second of 4 boats (besting Capital Rowing and WJ Crew)
  • Girl’s Novice 8+:  BI placed First
  • Coach Sullivan and Coach Hall competed successfully in their Master’s Single Sculls
  • Keaton Horvat placed Second in Boy’s Single Sculls
  • Girl’s Quad Sculling:  BI placed Second and Third behind Capital Rowing
  • Boy’s Double Sculls:  BI placed Second (great race!)
  • Mixed Boy’s/Girl’s 8+:  BI placed Second behind Capital
