Despite falling behind 10-0, the Bishop Ireton Varsity Cardinals demonstrated grit and determination by battling back before eventually falling to Gonzaga 15-8.

Offensively, the Cardinals delivered one of their strongest outputs of the season. Connor Stehn ('27) led the way with a standout performance, driving in five RBIs, including a triple, and scoring a run. Thomas Foley ('27) contributed two RBIs, two walks, and a run scored, while Andrew Antonio ('26) reached base consistently with a hit, two walks, and two runs. Logan Miller ('27) showed excellent plate discipline, drawing three walks and scoring two runs.

Additional contributions came from Alexander Glick ('27) and Ben Balducci ('27), who each recorded a hit, while George Dyke ('26) added an RBI. Fukuda contributed with a walk and a run scored while Isaac Gillespie ('27) also crossed the plate.

On the mound, Cash Griffy ('28) got the start and recorded two strikeouts, while the bullpen provided solid contributions in relief. Henry LeMaster ('26) added two strikeouts, Alex Fukuda ('27) led the staff with three strikeouts, and Ben Balducci ('27) and Luke Kennedy ('27) each contributed a strikeout as the Cardinals worked through a challenging lineup.
