v. Georgetown Visitation
Bishop Ireton hosted Georgetown Visitation to start off the week. The wind was blowing coupled with the Monday blues, and the Cardinals found themselves down 6-0 early.
But the bats got going in the bottom of the 3rd. Ciara Funk knocked in Annie Simon. Kasey Williams batted in Kate Harrington. Sadie Prow then came up and knocked in Funk and Claire Schlereth. The Cardinals were back in the game!
Kate Harrington made 2 running excellent catches in CF to help the BI defense stay in the game. The 4th inning had Funk walk, and Schlereth came up to bat and hit an inside the park HR towering over the CF's head to score Funk and herself! A repeat act in the 5th as Kaden Lyle walked and was knocked in by another inside the park HR by Simon for 2 RBI. Funk struck out the final 3 batters in the top of the 7th securing the comeback win.
