v. Trinity Episcopal

The Birds flew down to Richmond to face Trinity Episcopal in the last game before the spring break. The Cardinals lost to them last year in the state quarter finals.
Not today! The girls swung the bats by getting 12 hits despite the other team playing great defense. Captain Ciara Funk went 3-4 with 2 runs scored. Freshman Kate Harrington had a breakout day with 3 hits and 2 runs batted in. She lost her voice in the dugout yelling out our team chants!

Starting pitcher Kolby Curry allowed 2 unearned runs in the first inning and that was all she wrote! She spread out 5 hits while striking out 4.

Grace Artz playing catcher made two tag outs at home on one play for the second and third outs in the fifth to bring the dugout roar to its peak!!!!

The Cardinals improve to 7-3 overall.
