v. Potomac School

Bishop Ireton Varsity Cardinals scored five runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Potomac School Varsity Panthers 9-3. Annie Simon singled, scoring one run; an error scored one run; Caroline Dick singled, scoring one run; and Kasey Williams grounded out, scoring two runs.
BI got on the board in the first inning after Lucy Roche hit a solo home run to center field.

A single by Kasey Williams gave the Cardinals the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second. They added one run in the third. Annie Simon hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 3-1.

Ciara Funk started in the circle for the Cardinals. The hurler allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out one and walking two. Kolby Curry threw one inning of zero-run ball in relief. The pitcher gave up zero hits, striking out none and walking one.

Annie Simon and Kasey Williams each drove in two runs. Claire Schlereth went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Cardinals in hits. BI ran wild on the base paths, collecting four stolen bases for the game. They were sure handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Rachel Klaric had the most chances in the field with seven.
