BI Varsity 1 traveled to Easton, Maryland to play Sts. Peter and Paul, which was undefeated in the MAPHL. This was BI's third game in as many days, and the legs were weary. The travel and fatigue also lead to a slow start for BI that found itself down 2-0, 8:30 into the first period.
BI was able to rally behind an unassisted goal by Michael Callender '26 and goal by Joe Payne '28 that was assisted by Robert Mate '28 that tied up the game in the first period. That was the extent of the scoring in the game, so under MAPHL rules, the teams went to a shoot-out.
Joe Payne scored in the shoot-out and Declan Edwards ’28 made 3 consecutive saves to give BI the victory and take their record to 8-1 in the MAPHL. This was also Sts. Peter and Paul's first loss of the season.
