Bishop Ireton Football competes on the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels with nearly 80 student athletes participating in the program. In recent years, the program has produced 22 WCAC All-Conference 1st Team members, 23 WCAC All-Conference 2nd Team members, and numerous honorable mentions.

Many players have gone on to play at the college level at Shenandoah University, University of Maryland, Elon University, Gettysburg College, College of William and Mary, Salisbury State University, Franklin & Marshall College, The Catholic University of America, Jackson State University, Christopher Newport University, Bridgewater College, Bowie State University, and James Madison University.

Off the gridiron, the Bishop Ireton football team supports the Arlington Food Assistance Center.
