Academics

Counseling Services

Guided by the belief to “Be who you are and be that well,” our counselors help students grow socially, emotionally, and academically while preparing for college and life beyond Bishop Ireton.
At Bishop Ireton, counseling is about more than just course selection, counselors support the whole student. Our team of dedicated school counselors works with students across all four years of high school to help them grow academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Uniquely, each of our counselors also serves as a college counselor, walking students and families through every step of the college planning and application process.

Our goal is to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and prepared, whether they're choosing classes, navigating challenges, or applying to college.

Meet the Counseling Department

The freshman class is assigned to a freshman counselor who assists each student in becoming adjusted to high school, both academically and socially.

For the remaining three years, students are assigned to their counselor by last name and stay with that counselor throughout their high school journey to provide continuity and build strong relationships. Students are welcome to stop by at any time or schedule a meeting.

The registrar plays a key role in supporting students through the college application process by managing all transcript requests and documentation. She ensures that application materials are submitted accurately and on time and serves as a point of contact for families needing enrollment or records support.

Our College & Career Specialist works in partnership with our counselors to support students in exploring a wide range of postsecondary options, including two- and four-year colleges, military academies, trade schools, and career pathways.
To request a transcript, please contact School Registrar, Mrs. Gail Georgieff to request form.
