Boys Soccer Go Down in a Close 2-1 Loss:
The boys tasted their first defeat to Seton Hall with a 2-1 loss. The team started very strong as they pressured high and got a break in the first five minutes of the game. A through ball was played to EJ Edora from midfield with EJ making use of the space and pass to Charlie Murphy who controlled and finished with a great second touch for the Cardinals to go up 1-0.

Poor defending caused the equalizer and the game was then balanced with both teams battling hard for a second goal.

Deep into the second half, a foul was given to Seton from the halfway line. They played a long ball in and scored from a header.

Coach Sasso said, "We have more work to do, but the chemistry of the boys is great."

Ashley Davis also found success from the right side with several of her own kills and scored kills also while in the outside position On the defensive side, both middles, Hadley Reardon and Mackenzie Lodewick kept Seton's front row off balance with key blocks and played a great game above the net.  The defense was rounded out by great coverage and passing by Maddie Rauner, Harper Lucchesi and Ana Jones.  The team's offense was made possible by the consistent efforts of  Alex Rogers and Brenna Stiles at the setter position.
