75 Bishop Ireton Students Named AP Scholars

Bishop Ireton High School announces those students who have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Program exams.
The College Board’s AP Program provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advance placement, or both for successful performance on the AP exams. In May 2022, 272 students took 553 Advanced Placement exams in 22 subject areas.

The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on a students’ performance on the AP exams.

AP Scholar with Distinction: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
