Bishop Ireton Faculty Member Terri Kelly Receives “Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award” from NCEA

Bishop Ireton computer science faculty member Terri Kelly was recently named a 2020 recipient of the prestigious “Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award” given by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA).

Mrs. Kelly was one of just 26 winners from around the country this year and the only recipient from the Diocese of Arlington. At Bishop Ireton, she teaches Honors Advanced Programming, Honors Mobile App Development and AP Computer Science A and she also moderates HackBI, Bishop Ireton’s 24 hackathon.

From NCEA on the award:

“NCEA has a longstanding tradition of honoring excellence and distinguished service in Catholic school education. The Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award highlights the outstanding work being done in Catholic school communities across the country. Awardees are a mix of individual diocesan leaders, teachers, principals, school presidents, as well as boards and associations entrusted with the faith formation of our school communities. The LLP Award recognizes individuals and organizations that on a daily basis are guides of Catholic identity and emissaries of Catholic school education.

“These exceptional leaders will be honored at the NCEA 2020 Convention & Expo in Baltimore, MD, April 14 – 16.”

Congratulations to Mrs. Kelly for this tremendous honor! Bishop Ireton is blessed to have someone like her who represents the values of the school so well.
