The Bishop Ireton High School Sports Medicine program delivers quality professional healthcare to our athletes and their opponents. We are committed to the domains of Athletic Training as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). While providing these services we will maintain the highest standards of quality consistent with the NATA Standards of Professional Practice and the credentialing statutes of the state of Virginia.
The Bishop Ireton Sports Medicine Team is comprised of two full time licensed athletic trainers, an orthopedic surgeon serving as a team physician, and an official physical therapy provider. Athletic trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
