Meet Our Cardinals

At Bishop Ireton, students are encouraged to live the exhortation of St. Francis de Sales, "Be who you are and be that well." Through rigorous academics, fine arts, competitive athletics, inspiring retreats, and mission trips, our Cardinals become well-rounded individuals. They are service-oriented and civically responsible, making a difference in the lives of others.

Meet our Students, Parents, and Faculty

As a second generation Bishop Ireton student, I wanted to continue my family's legacy and enjoy a similar experience to that of my dad and his five siblings. The community at BI is incredible. I have made so many great friends since coming here.

Bishop Ireton has a solid education that prepares our students for the rigors of college. Many graduates say that they are more than prepared for college, and I am often told that they assist their college classmates with their coursework since they did not get the same foundation in high school. The faculty and staff here at BI genuinely care about our students. They are here before and after school and are always willing to provide assistance to the students if they need extra help.

Bishop Ireton offers the right amount of academic and extracurricular activities. During his time at school, I watched my son grow in confidence and find his personality and I saw my daughter blossom into a lovely young woman. BI allowed her to grow in confidence and deepen her faith in God and humanity. If you want your child to grow in faith surrounded by a community of caring people who allow your child to prosper, then Bishop Ireton is the school for you.

When you are part of the Bishop Ireton community, you are part of a family that supports one another and shares common values. Whether it is in the classroom or on the sports field, the students at Bishop Ireton are given the opportunity to be their best selves.

The commitment of the talented and dedicated staff at Bishop Ireton is rare. Ms. Kelly has not only contributed to an outstanding computer science curriculum but has created a passion for computer science in my youngest daughter, who will now study this subject in college. Mr. Curtin's enthusiasm for history and dedication to student learning have taught my STEM-focused children to have a new appreciation for the history of the United States. After four years at BI, each of my children have become critical thinkers with the academic knowledge and Catholic values to make a positive difference in our complex world.

I chose Bishop Ireton High School because of the educational opportunities I could receive here. My basketball coach has impacted me by never giving up on me. I had no experience playing basketball coming into this year, yet she still took a chance on me and encourages me to do my best.

The community at Bishop Ireton is a vibrant one. Whether you're an academic, an athlete, have an interest in the arts, or anything in between, BI is the place for you. With our Catholic faith at its' core, the BI community is truly welcoming and everyone immediately feels right at home.

What They're Saying

I came to Bishop Ireton not knowing much about the school. However, throughout my time at BI, I became certain that this was the right choice because of how the school strengthened my character. I love that BI has challenged me to prove myself academically and athletically. I continually push myself to be the best in whatever I am doing, and Bishop Ireton has guided that process with encouragement and support.
