   The Library/Media Center will be open from 7:55am to 4pm every day.  If you have any requests for materials, research project assistance or other help please call on me!


The Bishop Ireton Library/Media Center is centrally located and houses our main collection of over 30,000 books, DVDs, videos and other materials.


  Destiny is the online library catalog.  Use the catalog to access our collection of over 20,000 books, e-books, DVDs and videos.  Login to your online library catalog to search, renew, place holds, and cite sources.

The Bishop Ireton Library/Media Center provides access to over 30 databases featuring scholarly journal articles, books & e-books, images, and streaming video.

NoodleTools is an online citation tool and research project organizer.

Libguides provide a collection of resources for specific assignments.  The library staff works with the teachers to compile the best information available.


Turnitin is an educational tool featuring plagiarism education & prevention.  Students are instructed to enroll in classes as required by the teacher.  Please direct questions about Turnitin to the library staff.

  Magazine & Newspaper Subscriptions: the library subscribes to a wide variety of print magazines and newspapers. 
  Student Access to the library:  Students with a study hall may sign out and come to the library media center.  We accept 10 upper classmen and 10 underclassmen from study hall.  The library is open after school for student use.

On R Days We Read: Students are expected to bring God Grew Tired of Us to their classes on R Days.  If you have finished reading God Grew Tired of Us, please bring another book of your choice to read.  20 minutes of class time will be reserved for reading.

November 4th-History


October 9th-The library will be screening the documentary “God Grew Tired of Us”.

October 28th-The Library/Media Center will be screening the documentary “Peace is in Sight in the New South Sudan”

November 17th- Assembly with John Bul Dau.

          The Student Book Group is a student run organization which meets monthly to discuss student selected books.  If you enjoy reading, you will enjoy this club.
