Yearbook: It's time to purchase your 2008-09 Flight Yearbook! Order forms will be distributed during Advisory. The pre-sale price is $65. Make checks out to 'BIHS' with “Yearbook” in the memo line. Orders will be accepted during Advisory until Friday, November 21.

“Adopt a family” for Christmas!

As is customary for all BI Advisories every year, we are “adopting” a needy family at Christmas. Our “adopted” children are two boys who live in transitional housing in Alexandria. The organization that runs the housing is called Community Lodgings. The boys’ wish list includes:

Older boy (16 yrs): Cold weather clothes, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, gift cards, soccer ball/items, and Art Kit

Younger boy (9 yrs): Cold weather clothes, Arts and Crafts, electronic games, and soccer ball/items

Some of the items on the wish list may appear excessive. But, please remember that these kids watch the same TV shows and see the same ads as you see, and like to have the things we all take for granted.

Other gift ideas you may consider are gift cards to Target, candy, stocking stuffers, sports equipment, and hats and gloves for the older boy; for the younger one, consider playdoh, markers/colored pencils, and educational toys.

All gifts, gift cards, and extra money should be turned in on Tuesday, December 9, 2008.
