Additional Notes


Please familiarize yourself with the graduation requirements and curriculum sequence (above) before reading the following notes.

  1. Credit will be granted for a Language I and/or Algebra I taken in eighth grade upon successful completion of Language II and/or Honors Algebra II/Trig.
  2. Freshmen and sophomores may not take more than seven courses unless they have a 3.00 GPA.
  3. All students are required to enroll in a minimum of six structured courses each semester.
  4. A student may withdraw from a full year elective course if it is done before the end of the first cycle of the second quarter. A student may withdraw from a semester elective course if it is done before the end of the first cycle after the initial mid-quarter.
  5. No structured courses will be offered for less than 15 students unless authorized by the Vice Principal for Academics.
  6. All students are required to perform 30 hours of service in order to graduate. Please see "service requirement" under religion courses. Rising juniors may perform community service hours in the summer before junior year, if they obtain prior permission and return the signed Student and Agency Supervisor Agreement Form to the Community Service Supervisor or the Chair of the Religion Department.
  7. Course changes must be made by the end of the second full week of school. After the second week of school, students will only be permitted to change courses if they must change from an honors level course to a college preparatory level course, or an AP level course to college preparatory level course.
